If we were not so single-minded about keeping our lives moving, and could do nothing, perhaps a huge silence might interrupt the sadness of never understanding ourselves. —Pablo Neruda
Take a weekend from your busy life to listen to the countryside, to your own breath, to the voice of your heart. Join a circle of women at Great Tree Zen Center for silence, solitude, community, and writing practice—the four pillars of the writer’s life. This retreat is a safe haven for exploring what in you wants to emerge through language as we write to prompts and share our words.
You need not call yourself a writer or a meditator to learn Peggy’s Centered Writing Practice. Be prepared to surrender your shoes as well as your electronic devices at the door.
Great Tree Zen Temple is located 20 minutes north of downtown Asheville, NC, near Weaverville. This event begins on Friday evening at 6pm and ends on Sunday at 12pm. Limited to 10 participants. Fee: $255 plus dana (a Pali word meaning generosity) for the instructor.
Registration begins May 7th, 2017, and is completed through Great Tree’s website, greattreetemple.org. To reserve your place, or for further information, contact Great Tree Zen Temple at 828-645-2085 or firstname.lastname@example.org.
